Afternoon Alan,
Re your comments in reply #801.
The increase in the number of routes appearing in MyFlights since you and the team began the updating exercise a couple of months ago is remarkable. There are almost 13400 new entries in the last db update alone!
Now, it’s not very often that here in Northern England an entry appears in MyFlights without its route being shown with the exception of a few airlines which still prove difficult to tie up. There are of course always some to be found, and I’ve added a few I’ve come across over the past week or so.
We now have routes which don’t appear in FDLite, FR24 (and for some strange reason RB24 too) and others which gather information from several of the main sources which it would seem don’t have as comprehensive a database as the one you and the team have provided.
As you say, we have to accept that some of the data will be incorrect and that no matter who produces the info, this will always be the case. There will always also be the major problem of many Airlines changing their callsigns etc twice a year. You’ve taken on an endless and frustrating task. It’s noticeable though that the flak directed at you which regularly appeared elsewhere seems to have dried up.
