The freight flights are problematic as I have just had an EK that was outbound to VHHH now inbound from VHHH and FDX5033 seems one day to go LFPG and another to Bengaluru! Never mind our round the world UPS27 B763F on a Sunday.

I will ask my EK B772F pilot how on earth it works as he stated that the EK f/n is set automatically pre departure by computer connection at the gate/parking spot.

Maybe they use the same f/n for both the outbound and inbound flights, I know some do he round trip on the one f/n

Freighters often use the same flight number for different routes dependent on the day of the week, not easy.  About the only constant is the initial departure point.

Busy night at Prestwick, 4 Afghan C208s just arrived with 3 Iraqi C30Js due in the early hours all on delivery.
