my issue with the database is not so much its contents, updated or otherwise, but with its structure and workings. I mentioned the sbs structure because it offers what I want. It writes new contacts when they get picked up and you can edit, either manually thru the display screen or by entering the database. It also lets you see historical "sessions" which is not a must have but is useful at times. At no stage has Kinetics been involved in database contents for exactly the reasons you highlight.
Personally, I dont think its worth airnav getting deeply involved with database contents but if you provide radarbox users with a good working system, 3rd parties will quickly get out applications to keep it updated like populate by GAS.
