New Laptop Airnav not working, please help!
« on: September 01, 2012, 08:42:53 PM »
Hi Guys;
Well I have had airnav running for over a year now on my old laptop but just bought a new one and I am totally flummoxed with trying to get Airnav to run. First problem: I installed the original disc and it loaded the programme with version2.something whereas it was running 3.13 on my old machine. OK, I went on Airnav support page and I have downloaded version 4.03 and it installed OK. But, in the back of my mind I seem to remember that was for the 3D version?? I am running the pro version?
Second problem: No signal being received, the Hardware signal box is continuously red and it states not connected.
If you guys can steer me in the right direction with these two problems for now??
regards clive.
P.S. trying to get it up and running before I go back to Lagos on Wednesday!!

Hi Clive,

No problems with 4.03,it runs 2D if you havent upgrades to 3D.

You havent mentioned what flavour of Windows you have installed but going by previous queries I bet you are using 64bit and if so you will need to download and install the 64 bit drivers http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/drivers/ANRB64bitDrivers.zip

OK Alan Thanks but I sort of knew that reply was coming! OK, I am a computer thicko but I did read earlier that I would need the 64 bit driver. I just looked in device manager under the USB wotsits and there is no Airnav drivers there? How do I get that link you sent to where it should be? regards clive.

First thing download the link contents and save to your computer.  Then unzip them to somewhere you will remember.
