With regard to logos, we now have due to Rod the most comprehensive listing of logos to 3 letter designator codes as issued by the FAA. Any 3 letter codes that I have passed to Rod requiring a logo, that code for a particular aircraft company will have superseded any details relating to it already in the logo file.

The FAA do list details of any deletions but due to the large amount of changes that there could be they do not show any retrospective deletions only the most recent ones. It will therefore be difficult to keep completely upto date with deletions in our logo file although, as stated, the file is as correct as possible.

I have , however, managed to obtain some current deletions :

COA - Continental Airlines
FRL - Freedom Airlines
GRE - Air Scotland
NHA - Nantucket Shuttle/Horizon Air Charter
TUK - New Island Connections/Ocean Wings Commuter Service
VDR - Air Vardar
WCC - Sports Air Travel

No doubt, over the course of time, more will come to light.

I know with the original logo release that Airnav released with the original box included maybe 20 logos for 'virtual' airlines which only exist in the microsoft flight simulator gaming world.  Creations similar to this with spurious code 'WWA' http://www.flywestwind.com/

I haven't got WWA anyway, it's not in the zip, and it isn't in the current software release, so I don't know where it came from - perhaps an old version of the software.

I used WWA as an example as I was travelling and didn't have access to the logos folder.  You are right it is not in the file and was a bad example. 

However, MED (Mediterranea Airlines Virtual) is in the logos folder alongside other of these Microsoft FSX only entities. http://www.ivao.aero/db/airline/airline.asp?Id=59

Airnav includes it in the logos pack they still give to new buyers to this day (its in 4.03). However, this only exists in the simulator world, you would think a company that advertises as 'Designed by Professional Airline Pilots' they would know the difference between a virtual airline and a real one.


The correct usage of MED would of course be the actual airline Med Airways http://www.medairways.com/

I regularly get C-FIFA showing an id of JEV7.

JEV is the ICAO code for Mexican outfit Jets Ejecutivos Y Servicios S.A. De C.V. which I don't imagine has anything to do with G-FIFA, but here's the JEV logo anyway.
