 Alan / X,

We have two aircraft sending out 60083C. An12 UR-CGX visited EMA on 19 Oct as SWW2109, and departed the next day as SWW2110. Miscoded hex 60083C was used on both occasions.

John/Alan

Thanks that would explain it being in the db as UR-CGX AN12.

We were scratching our heads over this aircraft out here in the sandpit as AN12's are banned out here and when both SBS and Airnav users were showing it as a AN12 at first we thought it must be on Mil flights ex NHD, However today when we had a Silk Way Il76 going over we realised there was an issue.

Alan, I think you have an unusual problem on how to handle this one as UR-CGX is obviously miscoding its old hex of 4K-AZ60(1) to the UK. With UR-CGX obviously still flying 100 of UK spotters will be chasing you stating you are wrong if an IL76 is reported and an An12 turns up, and with Various you will be hounded as well asking what it is or being told it is an AN12......can you put Various and either UR-CGX or 4K-AZ60(2) in the operator box?

Just like yesterday VP-CCD LJ took off today still pretending to be VP-CET 4241AD!

No bother will put 60083C as being used by more than one aircraft with the registrations in the CO field as is usual in this case.

Morning, some additions to yestwerdays unknowns:

3C4B1E (Germany, no flight id, nothing more, maybe another decoding error)

46427F (Finland, flight id: OHZET, decodes to OH-ZET, so there is an airframe with this reg/hex. But unfortunately no luck with the details.)

Have a nice day!

Ingo

My miscoder A28E08 (N264BX) from yesterday was eyeballed and appears to be N264C F900 departing going to 29,000 using N264C in f/n box. Obviously miscoding as it should be A28E0B.
