Hello again from Lagos;
Two bits of info: Hexcode 064121 is 5N-BOQ Ce560 operated by Bristows Nigeria. and D-CIRJ Do328 with hexcode 3CD6E3, the Airnav Db has this as WFU however it has just arrived with callsign BML 328 and my Db has this as Abuja based and operated by Prime Air Services. regards clive.

Hi X,

42491A decodes to VQ-BZB which became TC-CLH CL605 unless it has been re-allocated

Alan

Hi Alan

On checking what landed at that time with someone on the ground I believe 42491A was actually 42493A VQ-BDP Nordstar B738 which I have heights either side of the time I saw it, so probably a crossed code as nothing else landed that fitted the bill and no one else picked up 42491A.

X

Thanks again Clive,  looks like we are both using the same d/b.  D-CIRJ was previously WFU stored ex Cirrus but is now operated as you state.

A miscode going on here with Ethiopian Airlines and Asky airlines, not for the first time I have noticed. Just had hexcode 04002B appear as ET-ANI which is a DHC-8 but landing was a 737. I suspect it is ET-ANH as the other two, ANG and AOK regularly appear. regards clive.

Hi Clive,

04002B is def ET-ANI DH8D

I have just checked the d/b and dont have a hex of ET-ANH, checked GAS, Airframes AvDb and they dont have its hex either.  Going by the registration sequence I would have expected ET-ANH to be 04002A but nothing on that hex

I am certain that I have seen something previously on the mode-s forum but the search facility is crap and dont get anything.  Will keep trying but may need to mark the hex as being used by various aircraft.

OK. I have noticed this in the past with Ethiopian/Asky but didnt note which aircraft it was at the time. But I flagged this one up to watch a couple of days ago because I need ANI so when it appeared today I made sure I saw it on approach and it was definitely a 737 in full Asky colours. ANG appeared a few minutes later enroute ACC-ADD and I have seen AOK a few days ago. regards clive.
