Hmm. When I am on the DHL 767 tomorrow, I will ask the captain if he knows if it is possible, regards clive.

Question. As I have access to the flightdecks of the Allied Air Cago 727's, is there any physical way of checking the hexcode?
regards clive.

On some transponders it is hard wired pins on the back of the transponder that can only be accessed by pulling the transponder from its mounting
Page 85 http://www.neboservice.ru/docs/0216544001186664708.pdf
The aircraft Mode S address is a 24-bit binary code set at the
time of installation. The code is implemented in the aircraft
by strapping certain pins on the transponder interconnect.
Any MST 67A transponder installed in the aircraft after these
pins are strapped will adopt this address. This 24-bit address
is included in all Mode S transmissions as well as all
TCASII Mode S transmissions.

For others it can be reviewed on the transponder screen with power on and looking at certain MX pages on the transponder.

Look at page 11 onwards of this transponder manual
http://www.funkwerk-avionics.com/cms/upload/Downloads/Transponder/TRT600-200-12e-150_Install.pdf

Conclusion
It is unlikely you will be able to get the code by nosing around the cockpits without a qualified MX engineer

OK, thanks for that. I had a chat with a DHL MX today and he iterated the same. However, I went onboard 5N-BMQ today and had a chat with one of their head MX guys and he disappeared and returned with a folder and inside showed the hexcodes for the aircraft. So I can confirm that 0640CE is 5N-RKY. rgds clive.

Alan/John

Something is fishy here. A6-ESG B733 was reported delivered at around the same time 896368 appeared, John stated last week on forum it was reported as being A6-ESR B733 in Turkey before going to OERK. Change of reg or wrong sighting perhaps?

A6-ESG  Boeing 737-33A  Eastern SkyJets 27-09-2012  Leased from AWAS was ferried SOF-RKT 03 / 04-10-2012 on delivery. Seen BOH as G-STRJ in full Eastern Skyjet c/s

Hello again from Lagos. One hexcode that has been appearing here all year is 3DD518 which according to my Db is a MBB-BO-105 D-HAYI. I have yet to see this , the hexcode appears quite regularly but no sign of the helicopter. My crew bus driver did tell me that there was a company that has a helicopter based at their premises some miles further up the road from the hotel so it may be this. regards clive.
