Afternoon Alan,

Another grand day. Not sure if this is in the latest d/b as I have not risked downloading due to the usual routes problems but just come on and not populating :

Alan,

No flight ID just showing mode S.

I have 351,644 routes in my d/b and don't want to lose any or have them overwritten which as you know happened before so I leave the regular updates you do well alone. Shame as all the updaters teams hard work is not being appreciated at least by me.

No worries Ian, another alternative is to send them to me and I could see if I could have them added to the d/b

Also when it comes to routes we have some daft ones that are clearly not the route operated especially on Reach Flights as the one below Illustrates. Suggest you talk to your boys and tell them to remove US mil routes as they change all the time. The one below may have KNGU as its destination but clearly did not depart Spain if OTT DXB.

AE145E  RCH150   LERT-KNGU       06-6160 C17   US - Air Force       2012/09/08 16:42:53

I know its a damn tough job and some routes are obviously not known like our daily Baghdad to DXB Iraqi flight IAW123/124, can we advise you of these and can you pass them on or is there another quicker way?

The system I would expect looks at the flight ID' and departure/arrival points from previous flight and get the routes from that.  As you suggest that may be OK for airline traffic but not many military flights fly specific routes with their attending flight numbers.  I will speak to Airnav and see what they say.

Just been told it was in one of the sandpit hangars all week, so I missed it on departure!

Here we go again with another miscode for A6-RKB, that is now six by now and trying to catch EP-LCE for the miscoding record
