Other Airlines that have slipped into history more quietly than Malev, Spanair and Air Australia in the last three months include USA3000 Airlines, Cirrus Airlines, Czech Connect Airlines, Fly Hellas, Jade Cargo International, CargoItalia and Mesaba Airlines (although Colgan will be renamed to Mesaba in due course).

Others that are on their last legs include Kingfisher and PAWA Dominicana, both of which have cancelled services without warning and not paid staff on time in recent months.

Four more gone:
Air Zimbabwe
Zambezi Airlines
Norfolk Air
Tor Air - AOC was suspended in December, but had hoped to restart, which has proved unsucessful.

Plus Prestige Jet of Dubai in January 2012 and TAS-AIR of Australia on 3/2/2012. The list goes on.
