For Airliners - A reasonable source is CH Aviation

As you are probably aware there have been wholesale changes amounst the regional fleets that support the major US carriers.  If you spot any inconsistencies in the CRJs, Embraers and Dash 8's etc that you recieve on your box, let us know.   

For Biz aircraft a good indication of the operator is the RVSM clearance tables

The similar site for Biz aircraft in Europe is ECACNAV

For this site it is actually better to search from Google, so for example if you want to find an operator for G-OXLS, a google search 'ECACNAV GOXLS'  does the trick.
