Ingo,

Yesterdays log

3C6460 for my info how do you know that this is a decoding error which should read, 3C6464 D-AICD, did you eyeball it or do you determine this from the flight ID?
This time by flight id. Same flight id with only a few minutes in separation should be the same airframe, especially if the detection co-ordinates are nearly the same.  Sometimes I have watched it live on screen unknown airframe pops up on screen on the edge of reception range a few minutes later a known on pops up directly on the course of the unknown one but a few more miles into my range. Or the other way round. Additionally I check the routing info, whether it goes fully through my reception range or not. Sometimes two or more airframes are a possible result, especially if the route is scratching my reception range only. But in most cases this algorithms are reliable enough to be as sure as even possible. In the rare cases, that the particular airframes came to EDDV and no clouds are in sight (very rare lately) I make a Mk1EB by using some expensive binoculars.

Well, if you think this way is not reliable enough then I may should say it's a 90% decoding error of...

Hi Alan

Just returned from a trip to Edinburgh Airport and picked up this code going in to Glasgow at approx 12.30 local:-

503D9F / c/s NVD9028 did not populate. Is this another A320 of Avion Express Italia who according to their site are to start operating 2 x A320's in Summer 2012 (LY-VEX already in opertion) or is it a miscode or possibly another Saab 340? Hopefully, the Glasgow enthusiasts site will reveal all tomorrow.
Regards

Keith
