The fighters are up again but today are showing trails. They have been joined for the first time by Mode S E09B08 which would appear to be from Argentina. Any ideas ?

Nothing on it Ian but I wouldnt put my money on it being Argentine even although it is an Argentine hex.  If I had to hazard a guess i would suggest USAF but then I dont gamble.

Further to the above. The aircraft concerned is, in fact, a Dutch AF F16 miscoding. The registration is J-631 c/n 6D-63 with the information obtained from this site which may be of use to you :
