radarbox on ssd
« on: October 21, 2011, 12:59:49 PM »
Hello
For those who are interested, yesterday i reinstalled radarbox 3d  on a intell 80 gb ssd
It makes a huge difference on performing (startup,3d etc)
Those disks are not cheap, i payed 150 euro's for it,but for me it is worth it
With the software from the intel website,is not included with the disk, i tuned the system.
My system is a coolermaster case,i7 proc overclocked to 3373,92 mhz,6 gb ram,win 7 ultimate 64
Main board is asus p755d le,coolermaster v8 proc cooler,(you need it hi )
I used to work radarbox on a 2 tb hd,but radarbox 3d needs ssd, thats my humble opinion.
Greetings
Ronald

Interesting.  On my previous PC, I installed Radarbox on a small partition, formatted as FAT32, no virus checking, no indexing, no trash management, etc.  And it ran a lot smoother.  There are so many disk overheads in modern operating systems, particularly on drives formatted as NTFS, with transactional processing, indexing, etc....
