Radarbox Alerts
« on: December 10, 2011, 01:07:23 PM »
Hi everyone,

If you set an alert and the plane comes past and so the alert comes up but you miss the plane, why is ot that the alert doesnt go off again that day if the plane comes past again.

Thanks in advance
Jamie

Hi
Currently the way it works is that it stops you getting multiple alerts if the aircraft keeps going behind some obstacles.

I requested a change for the next issue of AN :

Airnav

This was discussed on a separate post but i did not want it to get lost when you do updates.

It relates to Alerts.
a) If an alert occurs for a specific aircraft and then another other detection of that same aircraft occurs during the day no alert occurs.

Possible solution:- Allow a selective timeout so the user decides how long before a second alert can occur with a minimum set so as not to get multiple alerts due to aircaft going behind obstructions.

b) The Alert log displays only filght ID and ModeS.

Possible solution:- Add time of alert.

Thanks
Brian

Currently though to get round it you can clear the alerts and then untick and tick Process Hardware Flights (just below A/C photos) and you will then detect it the next time it occurs.

Thanks Brian,
That really helps and I hope they change it with your possible solution.

Thanks again,
