Server and Callsign Database News
« on: August 26, 2011, 03:44:38 PM »
As you may all be aware we've been working hard on the server during the last few weeks.
Fortunately the hard work is starting to bring results: the servers seems a lot more stable in the last 5 days and it getting prepared for the new solutions we are about to start development (once ShipTrax is released which is also happening quite soon as a brand new feature is added).

On a side note the new flight number retrieval routine is working great: in just one week from 109875 new callsign queries 89590 resulted in valid routing information (which means we have a success rate of 81.5% which can be considered great).

We are also preparing a new update to the navdata.db3 database.
Don't forget you can always check in real-time for the hard work of the database updaters team at:
http://www.airnavsystems.com/RadarBox/dbstats.php

Again thanks for all you interest in RadarBox and be sure we are working hard to bring improvements to the system.

The flight number/callsign database success we are having now is the result of the help from users (Tarbat included :-) ).

Now we have correct flight number/routing information retrieval even for pretty small Russian domestic airlines.

Thanks a lot, fantastic job!

Unfortunately there still some "glitches" in the routing tables, but it's definitely better than in the farer past.

It's not only the marked GMI900. The second one is DLH9PM.
