Very busy on RDB today around SE England

MyFlights has approx a third more flights today.   Is anyone else experiencing this in SE England?  Can't think that it being cloudy and wet would increase the number of hits I am recieving!

Cannot say i have any major increase today.

I have about 40-50 at the moment at 13.00 and i a just south of Mayfield beacon.

However i have been away on holiday so i don't know what i would have been getting recently.

at 12:45 I was up  at 108 sunk now to 80-90 usually around the 50-60 mark.  I'm close to the Ockham hold. 

Maybe just a busy lunchtime around here.

Unfortunately a hill gets in the way for me in that direction so my logs are mainly out towards France, Belgium, Holland.

Perhaps it is the extra holiday traffic ?

There was a large thunderstorm system over Belgium last night, that's moved into Holland and Germany today. So I don't know if this has effected flights into/out of Europe?

Maybe that was the case.  Was expecting those thunderstorms here last night and today but guess they moved further east than expected.

Back down to 70 at 1500 so guess it was just a busy period.

The weather and the AA emergency landing from CDG created holding delays of approx 30mins over LHR yesterday along with the T storms over the near continent flights were rerouting over the UK to avoid ATC delays.

for info, where I am in Crowborough my readings are averaging 150+ most days but that is with an external aerial.

Thanks for the info Tommy.  I too have an external aerial but have to have a long low loss co ax to my PC in my garden office, which probably losses alot of the distant signals .  Also the siting of my aerial is blocked in one direction by housing so miss much the LGW traffic. however as I'm only interested in the flights that come into my potential viewing zone it is a problem for me.
