Problem with 3D
« on: July 27, 2011, 07:22:04 PM »
Hi all
Just wondering if anyone can help.Just purchased a new laptop with windows 7 64 bit. Installed Radarbox and everything is working fine apart from the 3D part. Emailed airnav and they reset my box because at first it would not allow me to access 3D. When I now go onto 3D the map loads but all I get is a big red cross over my home location and no planes. As I said in normal 2D everthing is working fine. I have tried to attach a screen shot of the problem. does anyone have any ideas.

Have you zoomed out? and double clicked on the aircraft in the MyFlights.

Or does it always show that red box.

It always shows the red box even when zooming in or out and clicking on my flights makes no difference either.

Try uninstalling the software and installing again outside your program files and run the software as admin.

Hi Dave, did you install to the default "program" folder? If yes if you do a reinstall load to  C-airnav instead.
Good luck,  Dave.

Hi
Idid not install into Program files in the first instance as I had previously read about problems with the virual store etc. It is installed in C/Airnav systems/airnavradarbox
I have not tried running as admin but I will do.If that does not work then I will try reinstalling.

Just tried everything suggested and still no luck, ive uninstalled and re installed radarbox and have run it as an admistrator.  Ive also tried reinstalling google earth asell and also removed my antivirus and firewall just incase it was either of those blocking the connection! Any more tips would be greatly appreciated!

That is strange, do you have another machine you can test this on?

Installed on my sons desktop pc which is a lower spec machine than my laptop and everything runs including 3D.Do you have anymore suggsetions? Starting to get a bit frustrating but at least I can still run the 2D in the meantime.

Hi Alan
Yep did that .Have installed and unistalled and re installed the 64 bit drivers and software all to no avail.Installed everything onto sons desktop pc and eveything worked straight awayincluding 3D. When its on my laptop 3D loads but with a big red cross, if i click on an aircraft in My Flights the map moves but there is no aircraft showing.
