Taken the plunge !
« on: March 20, 2008, 01:32:02 PM »
Hi folks,

Well, I've just put my order in with wsplc after much deliberation,  I have bought many  AirNav products and like these, really hope this new one lives up to its promises !

Looking forward to contributing to the forum and any pointers for a newbie to get started would be much appreciated.  I live right in the middle of LHR and LGW up on the North Downs and so I think I am ideally placed, albeit that the military is my main interest.

I intend to start with an 'out of the box' setup and progress to an external aerial, once I've got to grips with using the system.

Cheers for now,

Steve Jerome

Steve,

Welcome to the forum.  I hope that you realise that RadarBox will become an obsession that will lead to hours of aircraft spotting on your "Radar" :-)

You might be surprised to see how many military aircraft you pick up, even in your area!

Hi steve. Welcome.  I have had my RB2008 for about 4 days now.  Very addictive.

I use the antenna that comes with the system.  It is situated on top of my music system in the living room and linked to my laptop.

I get cover upto about 60 nautical miles.  Sometimes more.

Enjoy it.  I live in Rotherham about 15 mins from Robin Hood Airport.

Regards Tony

Steve

Welcome from another Steve

You will be surprised what military traffic you do get. Northolt can't be that far from you, and there is always something floating round.

Good luck with your purchase

Thanks guys ; Both Odiham and Northolt are very near, with others not that far away....
