Hi there,

I had, probably in error, understood that the ability to show emails as sent from our home email address was in time to go into v1.5 but I cant see anything. No problem if it did not, just wondering?

The second point On the Alerts page the line reads "Send an email to the following addresses, thereby infering more than one address can be added. If that is true can you please advise me what the seperator is between the various addresses. I have tried ; on end of first address space then second address but it does not work and I can see no clues :-)

I thought it was working in the beta of v1.5, but not in the release version.  I get this email header:

Was it supposed to be picking up the email address from the File/Preferences/Home Station Data/Email.

I think so, yes.

Anyway, I just reverted to the previous v1.5 beta from yesterday, and the FROM address is my own email address, so somehow this change didn't make it into the final release.  Here's the email header from yesterday's beta:

I've upgraded to ver 1.5 and still cannot connect to the smtp server.  I give up.

That is definitely a problem of the firewall you are using. It works with most of our users and on all our installations. Why don't you change your firewall software?

I will try that as a last resort.  I can't understand why no other app I have is giving me this problem.  I good example is Acarsd.  I have no problems with that software sending e-mails out.  I have looked at Acarsd settings in the Norton Firewall vs. RadarBox settings and see no difference.  What is the difference between how Acarsd does it and how RadarBox is doing it?  I have tried everything I can think of short of totally removing Norton to correct my dilema.  I see other RadarBox users use Norton with no problems.  I will try loading RB 2008 on another computer in the house and see if it works.  The other computer also runs Norton Internet Security 2007.  If still no joy I will try a total uninstall of Norton.  I am not giving up my faith with RadarBox.  I was one of the first to purchase the product in July 07 and have stuck with it through thick and thin since then.

By the way I have not had any problems with the program crashing or not responding since I went to version 1.5 last night.  I have had the network connected the whole time, something I was not able to do since ver 1.4.

Ok, so I now have Norton 100% uninstalled from my system.  I used their removal tool so I hope that means truly 100%.  Rebooted and started up RadarBox.  When I go to send a report I still get 'unable to connect to smtp server to send auto-report'.  I turned Windows Firewall off 100%.  Still no joy.  I now have absolutely no Firewall or antivirus program running and I still can't connect.  Does this help in eliminating factors?  What can I try next?

Not a stupid idea at all.  Yes I do have a router but in previous discussions it was ruled out.  I can send auto-reports from Acarsd no problem through my router.  What would be the difference between that software program vs RadarBox?

Some blocked port? You have trying to open the RB port number (really what is the number?) by port forwarding like "torrent"?

My firewall shows 2790 to 2798 for RB local port TCP and UDP.
If is that correct try to open this from 2790 to 2798.

Ok to be certain I am now running directly from my modem...no router.  Still no luck connecting.  Where do I check for those port numbers Chris?
