AF45E6 C130 noted last week OTT DXB seems to be a known miscode. AE05E6 C130 88-4404 is in the area at the moment. The quote below was sent by a UK friend who got it from the internet.

“That C-130 with the bad hex code (AF45E6) and displaying PACKR30 for a callsign is 88-4404, C-130H, 95th AS Milwaukee. His good hex code is AE05E6 and has displayed that one at times too. He must have one of his two Mode-S transponders programmed incorrectly. He just departed Andrews at 1059 with voice callsign EVAC 84404. Caught him with Tower 118.4, TRACON 118.95 and ZDC-Montebello 121.675 during his climb.
AF45E6-AE05E6...close enough for government work - as we used to say back in the day.”
