Alan

Something very weird about this, below is quote on 29C72E in airframes, that is where I got the original VH-FOX tie up from and changed my db.

VH-FOX Agusta A-109S A109 22015 H2T  29C72E  2006      wrong ICAO24/hist. edit
Remarks: Used incorrect ICAO24 address 29C72E on mode-S, instead of 7C1B5F. [2007-01-17, 2007-02-12]

Then A6-FOX is noted flying with that miscode and thought to be an A109. plus you are correct about A6-FOX being a EC130B4 as I noted from UAE rotor list.

Is there now an A6-FOX(2)???, this miscode has only been noted in 2011.

As you may notice the A109 VH-FOX 22015 is the one which is supposed to be I-**** registered not the current VH-FOX which is c/n 22220.  Someone somewhere must have put 2 and 2 together and made 3 supposing the previous VH-FOX became A6-FOX because the saw VH-FOX as the flight ID, which is isnt.

Its not unknown for aircraft to continue with thier transponder using not only its previous hex but also its previous flight ID.  I wouldnt think there are 2 aircraft flying in the same country with the same registration mark carried.

The easy way to find out I suppose is with Mk 1 eyeball.

Alan

It was me today that changed the reg to A6-FOX in my db with a question mark as it was reported by a reliable source as an A109 and seemed strange that two A109's carry the same Mode S miscode (why I said weird).

Some reg's are reused in UAE, and that is what I meant by a possible A6-FOX(2), a possible second use, and maybe A6-FOX(1) has been crated up and shipped out and not yet been seen elsewhere (as is the case with one chopper just recently).

Anyway mark one eyeball will be used too confirm if this is the case or not, better brush up on my chopper recognition.

Alan,

Do you have anything on this guy that's just come onto 'My Flights' at FL430 :

Mode S : 514056

Airframes have nothing except that the Mode S relates to Georgia !

Ian

Edit: A flight ID of TGZ1601 relating to Georgian Airways has just been picked up after quite some time on 'My Flights'. After thought by flight crew ?

A6-FOX is still an EC130B4 (photoproof in May) so is still same aircraft. We therefore have an issue with Mode S 29C72E (rptd by AF as VH-FOX miscode).

We should be able to sort it out as 29C72E was around again today pinging.

Report received yesterday, quote

4L-GAF  CRJ850 is now 4L-GAA
A6-FLG  G450 is now 4L-GAF

Does that make sense?

Just looked up A6-FLG and it is showing that it is now 4L-GAF, so changing the d/b to read

514056, 4L-GAF, Gulfstream Aerospace GIV-X (G450), c/n 4106, Georgia National Airways

Just for your info

514013 4L-GAA, Canadair CL-600-2B19 Challenger 850, c/n 8046, Georgia National Airways

Many thanks X
