Coast Guard Jon

As pointed out by you and Alan the problem was with the driver.  When I copied my files from my main computer it opened up fine but the hardware was not detecting aircraft.  All the databases were there.  My long list of smartview was there.  If I had down loaded the drivers and gone to device manager at that point I am sure it would have worked.  By downloading from the web site I have lost the DBs.  No real problem there though.  I have manage to get my smarview list across so that is ok.  So ready for Fairford.

Thanks

Dudley

If you havent already done so copy across the Navdata db3 file and Mylog db3 from the data file.  Make sure you take the right ones as the are a couple starting Navdata and Mylog

Hi Dudley, many thanks for that, it helps us to help others in the future, to know it's the same old hang ups!

Hi

I have tried copying Mylog and Navlog across with no luck.  So I started again and copied the whole thing across.  Air nav works ok but Mylog details are not there.  I notice that when my main computer is working I see Mylog building when in Windows explorer.  It does not build on my laptop.

I can live with this but it would be nice to have a fix

Where did you copy them across to and did you delete or replace the copy already there.  They should be in your programfiles/radarbox/data folder

Hi

I tried all of the above.  They are in Program(x86)\Airnav systems\Airnav Radar Box\Data

One problem of using windows 7 is that if you use program files as the location you fall foul of the windows virtual store and things like this happen.

Program files is ok for XP but with Vista and Windows 7 you require to install to something like C:\Airnav instead of the default location suggested by the installer.

Dudley,

Just to make sure you get what I am saying.  Save your My log.  Uninstall Airnav and re-install to c:\Airnav, instead of c:\programfiles\ where it will suggest.  You may need to download and install the drivers again.

Down load and install the update, it will only go to program files,  copy across the new Navdata db3 file from the default location to your new data location on c:\airnav replacing the Navdata db3 thats there and the move your mylog into the same location replacing the one that is there as well.

Hope you get all that

Alan

Not sure if posts cross but all fine.  I used widows explorer to create folder called Airnav.  Then dragged Airnav radar box from programs to new file.
