subscription
« on: June 04, 2011, 06:24:49 PM »
It would appear that my 'real time subscription' has expired as my network screen is now showing the '5 minute delay' message. Two questions :

1. How can I check if this is the case as there appears to be no link taking you to a page to show you how your current subscription is standing with regard to the number of months to run ?

2. Is it normal to just be transfered to the '5 minute delay' without any warning ? I am not sure how this comes about anyway as surely if my 'real time' subscription has 'allegedlley' run out, I would have no network at all until a further 'real time' or 'network delayed' subscription has been paid for.

Now thoroughly confused !

Edit: It is in fact difficult to know what is happening as the network appears to be going on and off at will.

Ian,

If you go to Tools, Network Account Information, you should find your details of the end date.  You should also note that even if within dates, network problems at either end will cause what you are seeing.

I now see the network is down again, probable cause.

AirNav,

According to my network subscription details, 'real time' should be valid until 2/12/2011 at 11.48am. Why therefore, have I now be switched to the '5 minute delay.'

Alan,

Thanks for providing that information. I knew it was somewhere but could not remember exactly where.

If the realtime network goess off for whatever reason it then uses the delayed network. It then should return to the realtime when its back up again. If it hasn't untick the get network flights and tick it again.

Air Nav,

Thanks for that. I would appear to be back on 'real time' this morning. I was not aware of the fact that if 'real time' goes down for whatever reason , I would be automatically switched to the 'delayed network'. Duly noted for future reference.
