Thats the tables that have been updated, none of the others have. The others will get the same data as before.

Dave,

I noted on the other thread you have running on this issue that you have 2 Navdata files linked to Aerodata RB analyser.  Maybe that could be your problem in the the link isnt letting go of the Navdata to allow it to be updated.  Would anyone care to comment on this possibility.

Marpleman also has the Aerodata RB analyser and its maybe more than a co-incidence.

Rashers, its only the aircraft tables and airports that have been updated, nothing to do with models.

Hi Alan,

this is the reason I will NOT update as yet, because the 1st update that was released somehow messes up all the 3d models & very few of the liveries are to be seen, there was a test someone was doing to try & correct the problem but I am unaware of any outcome for this........... & we are now at the 3rd update & it looks like the problem still persists, I dont think anyone is suggesting its a fault with the data, more a software issue for those using 3d & trying to update!!!....

cheers

With help from Andrewarles I've managed to restore my airlines table into the updated database using the nice little Firefox addon called SQLite Manager - quite straightforward for doing what I wanted to do.

Thank goodness I'm good at backing up my data - as far as I can tell, because of the inability to change the update destination, the update isn't backing up my database.

AirNav - this isn't good enough!

EDIT - but Updaters - many thanks for your effort - the aircraft data looks great.

Rod,

As explained the update was designed to users who haven't changed there Navdata file and looking for updates or who don't have access to the internet all the time and looking for an updated file.

The updates to certain tables only was not in this plan. Those are part of the major changes to the software for the next version.

Support - I appreciate that, but the inability to change the update destination after I first got it wrong is a bug that should surely be easy to fix.

Yes that is fair enough and we agree that needs to be changed.

Rashers, to try and help you can you be more specific, is it all Air France and Lufthansa aircraft types which have the livery missing or just some.  Can you advise which aircraft types do not have a livery for each airlines.

Each airline has the following aircraft types with liveries in the database:

Air France, A318, A319, A320, A321, A332, A343, B744, B773
Lufthansa, A319, A320, A321, A333, A343, A346, B735, B744, MD11.

Which of these are showing without a livery.

Alan
