Mark has worked hard to get this off the ground over the last several months, and has a similar routine for competitor boxes.

Will be interesting to see what range the db covers in terms of initial records etc?

Well, I have bitten the bullet and taken this one. What I would really prefer though is a product similar to the snoopy program I use at home that links my SBS to my AvDb global database but the owner said it was not possible because he didnt have access to an airnav box, oh well...

As one of the undaters I think that statement is not true but it is up to you what you subscribe to and spend your money on.
I know it may be slower than we were expecting but i am sure it will be soon. I know you have heard all this before but please try and have patience.

i still believe one day AN will be able to provide these updates, but if they are not able to correct a DB that would be fixed afther a week ( 2 weeks by now ), with data that was obviously already in the "old and wrond DB".... i'm not realy counting on them to get a up to date DB, ....still i hope AN prove's me wrong.

I tend to sympathise with your view Vonsmalhausen.
 
"WITHIN a week or so" has now stretched to a fortnight without a word of explanation. We can but hope however if anyone says ShipTrax again, I'll scream.

I was drawn to AN because of a number of factors, one being that they quoted "It was evident from other products, that users wanted everything to operate inside the software, seamlessly and reliably. They did not want to have to extensively configure the software and download or purchase add-on units to achieve their ideal system. Nor did they want the uncertainty of having to rely on third-party products for proper operation". Like vonsmalhausen and others, I believe AN will provide these updates but so far, it is obvious that priorities are focused elsewhere to the detriment of the product and this must be of concern to potential new customers.  Please AN listen to what the customer wants and hopefully work with the updaters to provide comprehensive and  frequent updates to make this the best aircraft database on the market and the envy of all the others.

yeah, well... i still believe, realy believe, in this product ; it giv's me all i want and more, for what i byed it for in the first pace, it is  just that DB issue that could be fixed, with not that much effort ( sorry if i sound symplistic here, i do realize there is a lot of work involved in this ), ok i'm not that much of a computer wizard, but look at DBpop, IT IS POSSIBLE !

The new version of RadarBox software will have similar features, do not worry.

We are listening that's why we are replying on a Sunday night and that is exactly what we are striving to do which is to create a all in one application. It isn't easy and it will take time. Our presence on the forum should give you the reassurance that things are being worked on.

PS - does both applications sharing the same source code mean we'll have both ships and planes on RadarBox? - just joking :<)

They don't need to use the same source code to do that - just joking ;)
