Hi - get rid of the blue block for the data directory just to make sure all the files are writable.

Hi,

Been on to DELL and they have done a full check and all is in order.

Can Microsoft Office 2010 professional I have running be a problem ?

It is a problem on my Aerodata database ??

It is a problem on my Aerodata database ??

That's a possibility, if Aerodata isn't releasing a lock on the database, for example?

Hi Mike

I don't have WIN7 so i don't know the ins and outs of it.

But when you boot up the PC what programs are running as part of the start-up and have you been able to disable them and then try running Airnav and the Internet.

Is the Microsoft Office 2010 professional that you mentioned running or just part of the software loaded on the computer.

Hi,

Nothing is running. Been informed today that Office is very picky and wont run my Aerodata to its full potential ie report writer does not work get error codes.

Startup is empty when PC is booted up.

Just so bloody annoying as perfect with Win XP on my netbook.

Suggestion: I run windows7 64 bit. The only problem I had was when closing internet explorer it would shut down ARNB. This was caused by having IE to delete history when closing IE. Check your IE settings. Mine is now fine when closing IE.

Hope this helps,

Paul

Hi Mike

Looks as if you are at wits end.  I was talking to someone recently who had Win 7 problems and he used the help in this link.  Only a long shot but hope it helps as being without my RB is not worth thinking about.

hi,
I think I've got a similar problem, I have radbox now installed on my older computer and it now runs ok, thanks to a lot of help from the forum, and nav support. However I can't get it working on my new laptop windows 7,it loads the software ok, but tells me there's a problem with drivers, hardware not connected! I downloaded the drivers via the forum but when I try to unzip them into radar box, it tells me "access denied" I also noticed the installer on windows 7 is different to the one on windows xp, the xp installer guides you through in more detail, exactly as shown in the manual. Windows 7 does not do this,or give you the options to select the route, I wondered if this has anything to do with it. Im not computer minded but, it's only a thought. I haven't got a clue how to get it installed using windows 7.
                                             Cheers

Hello
I also had alot of problems with IE8 and anrb. Starting up IE8 shuts down anrb. Changing to firefox didn't help
Now it runs without problems for 1 year.
Look in the problem history of your computer and you wil see that the shutdown give's always the same fault code.
Search for this fault code on the www and you wil find the solution of your problem. It has something to do with masterbrowser automatic selection.
I am not a computer nerd but i solved this problem.
