Windows 7 nightmare continues 4 months on
« on: February 15, 2011, 11:59:31 AM »
Hi,

Not heard anything from support for a week so here goes.

AirNav on win xp netbook, no problems working perfectly.

New DELL XPS Win 7desktop well...................

1) Deleted all AirNav system so no trace on PC.
2)Load new program from internet.
3)Download 64 bit new drivers.
4)Using NORTON internet security 2011, as per netbook.

Problems then arise.

Plug box in and works with normal aerial.

However network works but info not being stored,

Look on internet with this running in background and crashes/error message ANRB has stopped working. ( Okay on netbook ).

Getting very annoying now. can anyone help ? Could I ring someone ?

Must be something on Win 7 as see loads on here having problems.

Storing program on C:Airnav etc not using program files as on earlier posts.

Thanks

Mike.

Try and run RadarBox as admin. This can be done by right clicking on the RadarBox icon and you can select to run as admin.

Make sure the data files are not marked as read only. That could have happened when you transferred them across.

Don't ask me how I know ;)

From what I can see from the threads on here the problems seem to be associated with Windows 7 rather than Airnav.

AirNav run as administrator and same again as soon as I surf the net it crashes !

Hi,

Can't do screenshot as program locks up.
Basically all goes to a light grey colour with following error box in middle :

ANRB.exe has stopped working

A program caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is necessary.

Close program.

Hi,

Not sure if someone else can please check there files in Win 7 and see what colour the box is.

No idea what a blue shaded box is for, normally just a tick in it or white, the blue shaded box is just in data/logo/flags/silhouettes.
All the others are blank and not ticked read only or hidden when looked in properties of each.

Not sure what Chris meant, which ones ??

Thanks

Mike.

Hiya Mike, clive here long time no see!
Charley had a similar problem with his new netbook, it only had 1 gig RAM. He put and extra 1 GIG RAM in and all worked well. It seems that the Airnav programme takes a lot of memory up in use. regards clive.

Thats not true, the RadarBox shouldn't take up much memory.

There is another reason for Mikes problems at the moment. Mike is your Windows 7 an work machine? has it been locked down in any way?

Hello

I (and I think some others) have found issues when running internet explorer 8  with ANRB. Airnav claim this doesn't happen but since I moved to firefox ANRB hasn't stopped working.

I hope this helps you.

I use IE8 and ANRB and dont have any issues.  I would expect most people use IE8 as it is the main player in the browesr market.

I surew way of finding out, try Firefox instead of IE8 and see if it makes a difference.
