Newbie to Airnav, help please!
« on: December 25, 2010, 03:06:51 PM »
Hi Just got my airnav for xmas but cannot get it working. Installed the cd and connected the box. The only light working on the box is the green power light and I have the red hardware unconnected light on the screen. Checked the device manager and it states I have the latest driver installed. Windows 7. Help please?? regards clive.

Silly question I know, but have you ticked the Process Haware Flights box on the bottom left front screen?

Also go to the link below and download and install the 64bit drivers.

OK, I have downloaded the ANBR64bit programme but it has dropped itself into my downloaded folder on the c drive but I dont know what to do with it or where or how I should be installing it into the airnav programme? I uninstalled and reinstalled the airnav to see if that would help but to no avail, I still show the red box in the bottom left of the screen. Any help would be very welcome! regards clive.

Thanks Alan, I am in the fortunate position of now having both the Airnav and an SBS so I will be comparing them!!

I'm interested in your results Clive.

How is the ANRB winning and how are you comparing them?

Not a scientific experiment Tonka!! Just the fact that I much prefer the layout and versatility of the RB over the SBS, that's all :)
My SBS-1 is the first version and I have it hooked up to an old XP desktop that does nothing else but run the SBS without an internet connection to the computer. Also it has an outside antenna on the roof and a pre-amp, with a 23" LCD screen. It has served me well with no complaints, hooked up to my AvDb Global database with a snoopy programme.
That is the one drawback for me with the Airnav, that I am unable to hook it up to my own Db rather than the central Airnav one, unless anybody knows otherwise?
regards clive.
