ZS-SFF is using 00B010 which is not in sequence. I have picked it up.
Thanks Chris.

Re ZS-SFF above, have you ever picked it up using its correct hex of 00B020.

Thanks on both counts Chris.

N767NF Became EC-LKV last month with Gestair Cargo/TNT so looks like it is miscoding.

Hi Alan
I am not sure if the ZS-SFF can be regarded as a miscode. The aircraft might have been allocated that code by the SA CAA. South Africa does not have enough codes to cover all the aircraft registrations and while the CAA seems to follow the standard list there are exceptions to cover military aircraft and ZU aircraft that do not have a code. I will see if I can get one of the SAA pilots to snag the code and see what the technicians come up with.

Cheers Chris, I see what you are saying but given that you state there is a code shortage it doesnt then make sense not to use one which is allocated and leave it vacant.  You would think that if there was a code going spare it would be used.  I have however added 00B010 to the database to ensure this aircraft is included.

It makes you wonder why when this aircraft has been in service since 2004, the code was only noted as unidentified on here on Friday as the aircraft will probably be flying every day.
