Thanks Brian,

3C6492 D-AIDR A319-113X (CJ) I believe for Deerjet or at least was at one time.

800285 is showing in my d/b as BH1013, a HAL built HS748-243 c/n 509/43 of the Indian Air Force, whether this hex is still current or not I dont know.  TC-JJB, 4BA942, used to be VT-JEF with Jet Airways but I dont know what its former hex was.  Whatever it is its a miscode at work.

Hi Alan

Shoot me ...

I should have typed 800385 not 800285.

Sorry

Alan

I was tracking this in to the UK but did not populate. Do you block access to the database while you are inputting.  I seem to have the odd problem with populating as I have submitted sighting info only to be told that it is already in the database.

Any ideas?

Hi
I have had the same problem as Alan might confirm.

All i know is that when i ask ask Alan any queiries he sorts them asap if he can or identifies them as already in the d/b.

Some times i need to wait a day before trying to 'populate' in mylog and clear some unpopulated flights. Its as if there is a delay before we get upto date data.

All i can say is Alan and his associates do the best they can and if if i have to wait a day then i have no problem.

Perhaps Airnav Support can confirm/deny that data entry by Alan and associates maybe delayed ?

Hi Keith and all.

Just had a look at the d/b and can confirm that G-EZTZ was added to the d/b at 15:00:59 yesterday on its climb out from Hamburg.  I cannot put any block on the database.  The only thing that I can think of is that the aircraft had already been picked up by your system before its details were added to the database.  In this event it will not update until it is picked up the next time.  I note this on a regular basis when picking up an unknown hex and then inputing the details in the database.  There may well be a technical reason why this is so but I dont know it, similar to not being able to update info in mylog if the aircraft is still not timed out.

Please dont let this put you off sending in sightings of unknown aircraft.  I would rather have two sighting reports than none at all.

Regards

Alan

Alan / chewycanes

Thank you for your replies.  I was logged in during that time and looking back in the forum it looks as if they will not populate until you close down AN and restart similar to manually inputting details in the database.  Prehaps this can be changed but needs AN to invest.

I will keep sending in my sightings, although a little quiet this far North.

Rgds.
