Hi Brian,

EI-EWR is an A330-202 c/n 330 and was formerly operated by Aer Lingus and which left the fleet in 2009.  It is now PK-YVI with Batavia of Indonesia so it appears still to be using the hex of its previous identity.

Hi Brian, 0D04B7 was formerly XA-MXN and was operated by Mexicana which went out of business at the end of August.  The aircraft has since been re-registered as XA-AMX with AeroMexico on 3/11/2010 and I presume it will have a new hex allocated but at this time it is unknown to me.

Re not seeing it on the network, was it ADSB equipped, shown by having a globe between tracked and status, if not it will not show on the network, only MyFlights.

Brian, the opinion on the mode-s forum is that XA-AMX is a re-registration and will be using the same hex as previous of 0D04B7. Its a Boeing 767-25DER c/n 24733/261.

Question for the updaters.

Where you have Tactical codes, generally for German CL60's, for example AE2D5D, no Type Code appears. Is this because of the database update bug, or do you not enter it? If you don't enter it, may I suggest that you do - if you know it's going to be a CL60 we might as well have the code (and silhouette) even if we can't tell the registration.

Ahem, AE2D5D is a US Mil code used by F-15s based at Lakenheath.

I wondered about that - but it did come up as a German AF CL60 Tactical code, but shiowing a US flag.

Again part of another ongoing reported bug I am afraid.  If we have the same registration for many codes, in this case 'TACTICAL' the current software cannot cope with that.  Even though the record you saw will have correctly transferred to your Navdata as a CL60.  When the software tries to display that on the screen it appears that it is currently looking for the first occurance of the registration 'TACTICAL' in your Navdata.  Which often appears to be ones we have identified as US F-15.  We are putting into the DB a type (CL60, F15 etc) in the AT field for these if they are not used by more than one type.  Of course the other bug prevents that reaching users.

We spotted it and reported it to Airnav on 15 September. But as you know, airnav are not looking to undertake bug fixing until after the Shiptrax project is mature.  I attach a screenshot which we also passed to Airnav Dev in September that explains the issue.

Brian, CS-DKA has been sold and re-registered N36MW in June this year.  Looks like it is moscoding.
