Duplicate Squawks
« on: November 02, 2010, 06:20:32 PM »
Last evening I observed an apparent anomaly, two aircraft having the same squawk.  One was a BMI Baby the other a Flybe (BEE).  As neither were ADSB equipped I could not ascertain the relative positions, however in my experience I understood that the sqawk is used as part of the correlation process between the RDP and the FDP.
The code was 7377.  Any idea how this could have occured or was Radar box getting confused?
