Low numbers of Real Time Network flights
« on: October 28, 2010, 05:09:02 PM »
Evening All,

Just loaded up ANRB after return from work.

Noticed low count of Network flights somewhere between 600-700, when normally would be approx 1300-1400 at this time of day.

Does Air Nav or anyome else have any explanation.

Regards

Phil

There's a distict lack of returns from the US east coast at the moment - nothing from Washington, NY, Boston areas.

Evening All,

A couple of points re numbers of Network Flights.

Again this early evening , flights are on the low to middle size, fluctuating between 600-1000.

Also the Network Statistics chart shows approx 1600-1700 at around this time and throughout the evening, this seems to be rather high as I have never had that many flights at any one time.

Any explanation as to why these numbers are never attained

Regards

Phil

Noticed them on the low side as well struggling to get over 1000 on the network.  I have seen 1600 once before last month but usually peaking at around a max of 1500 a couple of times per day but not for the last couple of weeks.

We are aware of this situation which happened for the second time. We just added some code to the server application to try to find out what is causing this.

There doesnt appear to be any coverage from the Americas at all just now.  Only 1 aircraft from Cancun showing at this time.

It appears that Air Navs servers are struggling to cope.  In the space of ten minutes last night my network count went from 850 (which is pretty low anyway), down to under 300 and then up to 579 where it stayed until I got bored and switched off.

So, 5 days on from the original posting, things don't seem to be getting any better.

They are coping with the load fine, thats not the issue.

The issue was thought to be fixed last week and it stayed that way untill yesterday when the issue came back. It is still being investigated at the moment, please accept our apologies.

Air Nav,

Any update on issue with low Network flights.

Still struggling to reach 1000 tonight, averaging between 600-900
