It has been a busy few days for USAF heavy metal. A total of 5 E3TF AWACS have been about plus 74-0787 is one of 2 of these around. AirForce One 82-8000 went to Europe around 17:30-18:00 today all for the big European meeting later this week.....

Picked up XH558 (G-VLCN) on my logs today, very worried when I heard they had declared mayday but understand everything was ok in the end, landed at Cottesmore.

A spurious fire warning light.  There's a good video clip of an interview with the captain on the BBC website  - I can't post the link as I can't see what it is!  Do a search for Vulcan and it it the most recent video clip.

I hate the new BBC website layout - ugghhh!

These are regular visitors to Bristol Filton but still very interesting. Reminds me of days at Southend as a child watching the Carvair car transporters from Southend airport - also a very funny shape.....

Got four of these FR Aviation aircraft in the air at the moment, presumably in support of a training exercise by some French Navy pilots for Exercise Joint Warrior 081.  The radio exchanges between the bombing range controllers and the French pilots is hilarious - "do you have facility for guns"........."pardon?".........."have you got a gun?!!!!"

Those Falcons are based at Teesside Airport and left for that exercise at Kinloss on Monday.
