Had a contact: @ 28000 420kts Not Allocated Mode S -200007 Call sign - GOTO FMS

ADS-B Military I suspect.

Is this a standard call sign GOTO FMS? I have seen this before.

GOTO FMS is a default flight ID, mostly used by USN Boeing E-6 Mercury aircraft.  If it was plotting, it was almost certainly one of those - 163918 has been know to use this particular mis-code.

Rod

Probably only to the crew, Rod. I've seen heard them use 'Biggy**', 'Terra**' and 'Torn**'. They have used Terra71 and Herz72 when visiting Mildenhall. There's also records of them using 'Peoples Express**', 'TOCC**' and  'Burma75'.

It was very interesting tracking him last night. First time I'd tracked an ac on AAR. He finally departed the western Scottish coast over Fearnmore at around 23:40. The tanker Quid83 landed back at Mildenhall a few minutes later.

Terry,

No apology needed, my friend. I thought you might be interested in the subsequent whereabouts of the ac and I was just saving myself having to write it out again :-)
