Hello
Just spotted Kalitta Air N704CK Boeing 744 over Southampton.. Bit strange as crashed in Brussels 2008. I guess the transponder from N704CK must be in something else. Any ideas. Cheers Pete

Hope this helps an e.g for Airforce one AF1 above is Mode S ADFDF9, registration 92-9000, height ht 32000 and squawk code sqwk 7662.

No mystery here.  N-numbers get re-used, as in this case.

Well, it may well be a Twin Otter but it certainly is not too high for a Beaver, the service ceiling of which, if I remember rightly, is 15,000'.  I frequently flew Army Beavers at FL120 on airways in the 60's and 70's.

I also frequently flew gliders up and down the Pennines in wave in excess of 15,000'. I can't remember a 'pressurisation' switch in any of them. :o)

Fair enough - in fact the Twotter isn't pressurised either.  Nor the Shorts 330/360 - I've made plenty of cups of lukewarm coffee in those at FL150  :-)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Nielman2424, but you need to check some of these Mode-S codes, especially European military ones (I suggest www.airframes.org). It appears that the Mirage 2000 is actually a TBM-700 :-(

Trouble is that RB currently looks up the registration - in this case "100", in Airliners.net, and grabs the first matching one that it finds. As "100" is not unique, this can lead to bad information.

ArNav apparently plan to get this procedure more bullet-proof in the (near?) future.
