Hi Dana - no, not really - but the 3D version uses the real Google Earth, so that's the best option.

In the 2D mode, it is possible to use maps from anywhere, but they all work the same way as the NASA images - the more you zoom in, the more pixellated the image becomes. There are forum threads about how to do this, Try this as a starting point: http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=1447.msg11180#msg11180

I've been watching an RV-6 buzzing round here on the network:

Marana Northwest Regional Airport / Avra Valley Airport - KAVQ
Pinal Airpark - KMZJ including Silverbell Army Heliport (the area to the north) where Apache training (including for the British army) happens.

At Avra Vally on Google Earth I counted 6 4-engined propliners including 3 Connies, at least 13 Skyhawks, and 6 Starships. And there were 7 Albatrosses at Pinal. Davis-Monthan's just down the road, too. More rust than dust round there! (OK, I know there's not much to rust in a Starship, but you know what I mean.)

Thanks, Rod!

But I just found that your UUWB current outline is far more hi-res then mine.

So, guys, please just ignore my UUWB file from the reply #34

You may find Rod's UUWB outline as Ramenskoye.out in the outlines zip archive at:

I'm happy to give them a go - as long as they are clear in Google Earth - I'll have a look...

EDIT - Blimey - they're vast! give me ten minutes... or so....

At least they're clear in GE.

Durban's new airport, King Shaka International, FALE, is clearer in Google Earth, and I've noticed that some of the guesses I made last time were wrong. Here's a replacement for that, along with the separarate outline consisting of just the runway centreline. I've kept it separate so that it can be easily removed if (when) the RadarBox map gets updated.
