saveing location map default

hi every one, hope you can help with my little problem.  trying to save my map as a home default location i go to save your map - [map /open/save/ save map] nothing happens no box pops up for me to answer yes do you wont to over wright your default map file! so this will not save my location
running vista 32 bit. thanks for your help Sean

Two steps:
1. MAP == OPEN/SAVE == SAVE MAP AS, then save the map as Default.ml3
2. WINDOW == RECORD DESKTOP
