Windows 7 Installation
« on: June 26, 2010, 07:57:53 PM »
I've just tried to install the AirNav software onto a newly purchased laptop with Windows 7 but I'm getting the Hardware: Not Connected message and a red light. I've tried installing a 2009 version then a 3D upgrade I bought but no difference.

Please could someone provide me with a step-by-step guide to correcting this problem for someone who knows very little about computers. I've tried to follow some of the discussions on here, it seems to be a driver problem (if i have understood the discussion correctly) but when I do searches for the drivers nothing is found. One message said downloading them from the AirNav website but I've looked for them and can't find them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also please could someone tell me - do I have to install the 2009 software (v. 2.0?) before I install the 3D upgrade??

Many thanks

Hi Nigel

I had this same problem myself & the cure for me was to "do a search" or "update driver" for the drivers & "browse" your way to the C:/program files (x86)/airnav systems/airnav radarbox/drivers folder & then it finds & loads the drivers........... well it worked for me anyway!!

hth

Hi Bob

Thanks for this tip, tried it and it seemed to be installing the drivers but then it failed saying 'Windows requires a digitally signed driver' so I've no idea where to go next being useless with computers

Many thanks for your suggestion anyway

Nigel

did it not give you the option to "continue anyway" ?

if not, the latest drivers are here at the bottom of the page, download them, extract them & copy into the previously mentioned folder........... then run the process I suggested again......
