Andrew,

For the reasons Dave states we will be staying with the details of MAA and MAB.  As for the BC-A, they are shown as a C17 on the database.  Something happens from the database to your screen which changes it.  Airnav should be looking at this in the meantime make the change manually in database explorer and this will stop in re-occuring.

Airnav are also aware that the photo links we are allocating are not reaching users.  To get the correct photos you may need to search airliners-net using the id's they use

www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?regsearch=A7-MAB

www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?codesearch=MAA&distinct_entry=true

I think the Spanish AF/Navy Falcon 900's need to be checked.
T.18-1 / cn.38 in db as 353507 ok
T.18-2 / cn.90 in db as 353508 and 341391
T.18-3 / cn.77 in db as 3542C3 should be 353509 ?
T.18-4 / cn.74 in db as 35350A and 3542C4

Should there be a . between the T and the 18?

As a general rule, Spanish military aircraft have a dot between the role letter and the type number.  As it happens, the Falcon 900s are an exception, but I suspect that's just an accidental omisson.

Has anyone IDed A2E800? It's for N287AD which is not assigned.

It flies north-south over the eastern US and passes over Virginia twice a day at about FL360.  So it's most likely a commercial jet.  It has never had a flightID.

I think I may have figured this out.  Seems like it could be HC-CIJ Aerogal Boeing 767-322ER cn 25287.  It flies between KJFK and SEGU.
The flight from SEGU to KJFK is GLG700.

It used to registered as N287AV A2E810 which could easily have been miscoded as A2E800.

Even a picture placing it at KJFK at night.

Andrew,

The Spanish Falcons are on the database as follows

T.18-1 353507
T.18-2 353508
T.18-3 353509
T.18-4 35350A

Any other information on these aircraft that comes with the system should be deleted, the information above is correct.  These discrepancies only go to highlight why were are going through the updating process.

The aircraft detailed are all operated by the Spanish Air Force out of Madrid Torrejon

Steve,

00A611 is a South African code and unfortunately until the aircraft(if ever) starts using its correct doace there is little we can do other than deleting the details from the database.  Then you will only get DELETE.  We dont normally put misscode info in the database.

Alan,

That's interesting.  Isn't the idea to tie-up the current registration of an airframe with a particular code even if that code doesn't relate to the country the aircraft is now registered in?  I recently went to Jakarta where a very high amount of the traffic was transmitting a miscode.

Any particular reason for not putting miscodes in?

Steve

Mainly because it is not correct.  00A611 relates to ZS-OKE and its not, its AP-BIU which should be coded something else.  If we were to put in all the misscodes there would probably more wrongly detailed aircraft than correct ones.  We would then be forever having persons advising us that we are using the wrong data and castigating us for that.

If you want to manually update your own box with the wrong code relating to particular aircraft feel free to do that.
