You just need to enter the email you want it sent to. The alert email is sent by our system so you don't need to enter all those details.

Oh ok ... But I tried for example to get an alert on any A32* coming within 1nm from EGLL and got no email at all ...

Am I doing something wrong ??

PS: I just tried to increase the area to scan for an alert to 10nm but no email at all ... Here is a screenshot

Check your spam folder or try another email. The picture shows it is alerting.

Ok ...

Is there a way to just send a mail for "Received Aircraft" alerts ?

LePosson - if you mean that you don't want alerts for network flights, there is a check box on the Alerts tab called "Activate Alerts for Network Flights" - just uncheck that.

No I mean the flights that are in the range of the area I set (10nm from EGLL in my example) but that does not match the criterias (A32* in my example).

I get a "log alert" and an email for an aircraft like a B744 landing at EGLL even if I decided to be alerted only for A32*  ...

You see ?

I think I understand, LePousson.

The different options on the Alerts screen are "OR", not "AND", so with Range ticked, you will get an alert for all aircraft reporting as being within that range. It doesn't matter that you also have an alert for A3* - that will trigger alerts for all A3*s, no matter what their range from EGLL.

We have a long-standing hope that alerts will be changed to be much more flexible in a future software release.

I hope that's answered your question.

Think about it that the mailfunction is not always available, as all mails go via AirNav server.

Few days ago 2days in a row no mail from daily report!
That happens at least 1-2 times a month.

After the complaints when this change was first introduced, I seem to recall AirNav agreeing to look at offering users the choice in RadarBox as to whether emails would be send via their server, or via a user's ISP.

What happened to that ?

The initial issue was that customers could not connect to our smtp servers as there ISP didn't allow connections to smtp servers other than there own.

We decided that as a 1st method we would get round this therefore stopping the complaints of emails not being received at all. We will in future versions add options to include your own smtp server. However this is not a priority as the 1st fix, rectified the vast majority of the issues.

We would be interested to know which days the email is not being sent out so we can see why, as we know a lot of people do use this function and not have any complaints from them.
