Advanced Filters
« on: May 19, 2010, 11:10:24 AM »
Hi All,

Sometimes of the day I want to see flights between 500 and 40.000 ft only.

So I do as follows: (Map view mode)

1. Click Filters
2. Click Advanced Filters
3. Base FT fill in 500
4. Top FT fill in 40000
5. Click Altitude
6. Click Close

After doing this the RB works for a short while normal but after some minutes the program hangs and or the maps does not coming back after change to the www or some other program on the background.

Is this an already known problem? If not what should be done to let the filter working without causing any problems?

Thank you for any help in advance!
Best Regards from the Netherlands, John Racars

Sorry if I made verry strange problem or question. You should ask if I am not clear? There was NO reaction from support so, what do you think? Was I clear OR not? I am not a little child what is asking something and I did not Highscool English. So please excuse me if I was not clear in questioning.

Sorry John,  Just tried your Advanced Filter (Different Alts) and all seems to be working okay, so far.  Will leave running for a bit longer.

No answer from support.

When I am asking "some time" when I see a problem it must be verry difficult.

I will be patient.

For what it's worth, I run in advanced mode all day, as I work close to Heathrow and obviously need to keep the "clutter" down.
So far I've had no problems.

I know that doesn't help John, but at least we know that it does work.

Running Windows XP / 3.13 Software

John, I applied the same advance filter as you, left it for an hour, and I don't see the problem you're seeing - no lockup, etc.

OK. Thank you all for your reactions! Highly appreciated.

Must be an individual problem so it looks.

There is an other strange phenomenon:

all landed a/c at EHAM heap up there. So from time to time I stop processing to clean up my screen....

This is not the "normal way" of using the programm I think but it looks I have a strange version.

Do any of the aircraft appear with negative altitudes?

Hi Tarbat,

I never changed this setting so it is still 985. What do you think about this setting?
