When and how are airfields updated?
« on: May 12, 2010, 06:18:08 AM »
The reason for my questions is that the international airport serving the East coast of South Africa has moved.
FADN - Durban has been downgraded to a local airport and will be decommissioned after the World Cup. The new King Shaka International (FALE) opened on 1 May and is now the main international airport in the area.

Would be nice if proper outlines were includeed.  I can provide charts of the airport if anyone can make decent outlines?

New airport in France, too, close to us.  Brive Souillac (LFSL) opens next month.  No doubt there are many others, so a live, updatable database would be very handy...

Its updated on major releases, where we include the latest AIRAC data. We have noted down suggestions to be able to updatthe sofware with the latest AIRAC data wihout needing a new release. This may be in the next major release.

I'll happily do outlines, but unfortunately neither of these airports are on Google Earth yet, and I can't do the outlines until they appear there.
