Anyone know whats happening here - TOM9856 has been flying large patterns over East Anglia for a while now ?

I spotted something similar ...when they started to fly again after the ash scare ....I thought it might be to check for more /less ash or its effects ?

Its ex-Skyservice A320 C-GTDH, now G-OOPT with Thomson Airlines, doing an airtest out of Luton.
