G-VTOP has a new form of radar deception transponder fitted, which shows a false track along with the real one - but which is which?

Don't worry Rod - it's the new "Virgin Ghost Squadron"
Just means you'll have to do opaque style logo's for all the operators in case they inherit similar characteristics :-)

Hehe - perhaps they're planning a link-up with Spirit Airlines!
Anyway, it's not as worrying as it would be if the second track had been coming the other way!

I've had this same aircraft do the same thing when it diverted to BHX during the snow a few months back.
