Hi DC, go to Control Panel, Device Manager, locate the RB which will be shown in yellow, click on it and open up Driver, select Update, and use the Browse/Manual selection, go into AirNav Systems, AirNav RadarBox, Driver folder, than next and you should be able to get the RB to connect and run OK.
ANRB :  AOR AR8000 : Icom R-7000 : Icom IC-R9000 : JRC NRD-545 : OptoElectronics Digital Scout and OptoLinx Interface; Realistic Pro-2005 : UBC 800XLT - listed in alphabetical order, not cost, preference, performance or entertainment value!

Hello, CoastGuardJon.  Done that - There is a USB Serial Port in Other Devices (Location: on Radarbox) with a yellow exclamation mark against it.  Updating the driver by pointing it to the address you suggested makes no difference - Win 7 says it can't find a driver, even with 'search sub-directories' selected.

If you browse to the AirNav Systems, AirNav RadarBox, Driver folder, can you see any files in there?

Yep - 2 sub directories, one called 'amd64' with 5 files (ncluding DLLs), and one called 'i386' with 5 files - ftbusui.dll, ftd2xx.dll, ftd2xx.lib, ftdibus.sys and ftlang.dll
Pointing the driver search facility to either of these results in a "driver not found" message.

I think that the driver file should have an .inf suffix.  ftdibus.inf and ftdiport.inf in the /Drivers directory maybe?

ftdibus.inf and ftd2xx are there, but no ftdiport.inf (and it doesn't seem to be on the original set up CD, either).

Try the 64bit drivers

http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/drivers/ANRB64bitDrivers.zip

Extract them and point to them when it looks for the drivers.

Hi Deadcalm.

I had issues with ANRB and Win7 on my my new laptop but they were to do with resizing the preference windows. I used the 64bit drivers and had no problems with the system working at all.

Success at last!  I've had to re-install ARNB in yet another directory and start again, and delete the old directory (well, old for Win 7...).  All appears to be well at last.  Thanks for all the suggestions.

Hi all,

I have a problem, RB is running fine, soon as i open photoshop cs4 it crashes, but if cs4 is started first and then RB it runs ok. I also noticed that no matter when i start RB "while the program is running" and i change my desktop image that will also cause RB to crash. OS Win7 32 bit. I tried turning of some win7 graphic features and tried the compatibility but nothing help. Any suggestions would be great. Besides the above mentioned problems RB 3.13 runs fine on win7.(note: when RB crashes all previously recorded info is lost from the database.)
