But the met office charts still show the ash cloud in place over England until at least 7am tomorrow.  What a farce!!

All airports to reopen tonight 2200 BST.

I think that the BA planes that have landed at Shannon, Brussels and Schipol may resume and land at LHR tonight.

BBC News just said CAA has said BA flights can land...but where??

Er, wouldn't that be stating the obvious ?  Or were they expecting them to fall out of the sky ... ?

Anyway, the CAA is simply reminding BA of what they already knew - that they can't fly around where NATS has already stated that they aren't providing an ATS service.

Just trying to figure out if it's confirmed ok to land at EGLL. Appears to be so now. Too dark for the cam at 2200+

All UK Airports to reopen from 10.00pm tonight according to Sky. The pressure of so many flights in the air may be the reasoon as much as Sky's reporter saying there is very little ash now from the volcano. Facinating night i thought there was afootball match on the box as well.

He must be using a 'fix' to turn over then, quite a way out from CBG if that has a hold (?)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8633597.stm

its still 1 1/2 hour + to airports re-open, would he have enough fuel to hold I wonder ..? or is he hoping for a decision to open sooner.

How on earth are the pax feeling on board thes circling planes? BAW84 has circled IOM so many times he's got bored and now heading towards Dublin - perhaps getting ready for a slot at EGLL.
