stop frame primer

Morning all, had a query from a bloke wanting to know what was involved in stopframe animation - wanted to keep a record of what was going on whilst he was away. He wanted the smallest possible file consistant with readability. You need two programs. CamStudio and TMPGEnc. Both are free but with restrictions - see their writeups. Camstudio can be set for time etc and TMPGEnc for compression. Read the destructions for usage which are pretty well self explanotory. Eg, CamStudio records AVI files which are compressed by TMPGE. One minute of Camstudio is around 1.87MB. Using compression can reduce the file to 150KB mpg with reasonable definition but not full screen. Biggest problem is loss of colouration. Any queries give us a shout. I have no connection with the producers of either program. Regards to all, Roger
