Opinions on aerial please

Has anyone tried one of these and if so what are the pros and cons?

Hy, Bratters, looks interesting but the word Directional would tend to put me off as you are trying to receive a moving object unless of course you intend to try & increase your receive from a specific direction, Is it possible that it can be used in conjunction with an existing antenna, I would not think it was possible on the other hand I could be wrong. Lets see what the more technical guys on the forum have to say.

hi ,

a directional antenna would only enable you to pick up in one direction and most likely a little off the sides and to the rear of the antenna depending on the side and rear lobes. an omni-directional antenna is the way to go. i purchased the Mode-S / ADS-B antenna from DPD Prouductions

This antenna works very here is a screen shot taken today and i dont use a pre amp and the antenna is mounted in my loft. my elevation is only a few feet ASL.
the antenna comes packed very well and delivery time is very good from the usa.
